These South American Gems Should Be Next On Your Bucket List

Has anyone else caught the travel bug? If you’re in the same boat (or airplane) as us, then you’re probably itching to start planning your next vacation. Choosing where to go is often the most difficult part seeing as there are too many places to visit! South America is next on our bucket list, and we’re here to tell you why. This incredible continent has so much to offer, a rich culture, and a diverse range of climates make it a good spot for everyone. Although there are numerous destinations to see in South America, we think these two are the cream of the crop. Check out these exotic natural sights in the 5th largest continent in the world!

Bolivia – Salar de Uyuni

Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia is known for its picturesque views and Instagram-worthy shots. This 10,000 km frozen landscape is the largest salt plain on the planet, and it’s a sight you cannot miss. Salar de Uyuni looks like an enormous sky-reflecting mirror, which gives off the illusion of a stellar horizon.

Chile – Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia

Chile is home to some of the most beautiful national parks on the entire planet. Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia is nestled along the beautiful Andes mountains. Glaciers and granite horns surround the park, which you’ll be able to enjoy for 17 hours of daylight during the summer months. The turquoise and white waterfalls are the icing on the cake, if you ask us. For the athletes in the room, the park has mountains and icebergs perfect for hiking and kayaking. Prepare for quite the adventure, and for some breathtaking views!

Although there are endless places in the world to travel to, we highly recommend making South America a priority. These rare natural beauties are a must, so be sure to add them to that bucket list of yours!
