Road Trip Essentials You Need To Take Along

Going on a road trip is such a fun experience! Seeing new places, watching the scenery as you cruise by… It’s an unforgettable experience, that’s for sure. However, figuring out what you need to bring can be somewhat challenging. Of course, you don’t want to bring too much and carry things around for nothing. But still, you can’t forget to bring the things you need. So, we’ve made a list of things you most definitely need to bring on any road trip, no matter where you plan on going.

Cooler

Of course, when you’re spending hours on the road with no fridge or anything, you need a cooler to keep your food and drinks refrigerated. Not to mention, bringing along your own food will save you a lot of money!

Phone Mount

If you’re planning on using your phone to navigate, make sure to buy a good phone mount. It’s the easiest way to hear and see the directions without having to look down at your lap or drive with one hand.

Blind Spot Mirrors

Road safety is no joke. And if you’re going to be driving a lot, you should make sure you’re going to be alert and as safe as possible. Get blind spot mirrors – there are even several different shape options to work with different mirror types.

First Aid Kit

This a must-have. You can find all kinds of kits and get one that’s the right size for you. It’s good to have on-hand at all times when traveling. In addition, make sure to get an extra pack of bandaids – just in case.

WiFi Hotspot

If you’re relying on a GPS system for navigation, you’ll need a wifi hotspot for those places that have terrible service. Not to mention, it will keep the music on your phone going as well.

Car Pillows

This is more for the car passengers than the driver, but all the same, it’s essential. Still, a good neck pillow can do wonders for the driver as well. You need to get a pillow that doesn’t interfere with your seatbelt, for safety reasons.

Sunshade

A sunshade is a lifesaver if you’re someone who burns easily in the sun. You can find one that attaches to your window and will protect your arms, keep you cooler, and keep you from getting sunburned on the way.

Blankets

Blankets are a good thing to keep in the car just in case you have someone who likes keeping it cold on the trip. Not to mention, it makes it all the more cozy to nap! There are plenty of cheap options to choose from on sites like Amazon in a lot of different colors, too.
