He might have released a demo as a college student, but his first major album only came out in 1994. By then, he was already in his mid-twenties and ready for stardom. The record did not leave a huge impact and failed to make it to the country charts. It was a good thing that he did not give up since three of his follow-up albums charted in the top ten during the ‘90s. In 2002, he released his first number one U.S. country hit. Since then, nearly all of his studio albums have reached the top of the charts. Some of them even made it to the top of the Billboard 200. At the moment, his latest release was “Songs for the Saints.” It came out in 2018 and made it to No.2 on the mainstream chart.
