Casey wasn’t really ready yet to let go of Jeremy. She still wanted to try harder to make the relationship work. However, it is the opposite for Jeremy. He knew that their relationship has no future and will never work out anymore. Casey hated the fact that Jeremy didn’t want to try to make things work. She hated Jeremy as well for it. She can’t imagine seeing another woman as a mother figure in her son’s life. She just wasn’t ready and hated the idea too.
