We could probably name quite a few Hollywood celebrity couples who had managed to make their relationships last until the end of time. Some of the celebrity couples who knew the secrets to a happy married life were Barbra Streisand and James Brolin who were married for 19 years, Meryl Streep and Don Gummer who had been together for 39 years, Colin Firth and Livia Giuggiolli who had been married for two decades, Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith who were together for 16 years, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso who had been married for around 12 years, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber that were married for 19 years, John Travolta and Kelly Preston who had been together for 26 years, Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner that were married for 13 years, Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton were together for two decades, Bono and Alison Hewson had been married for 35 years, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were married for more than a decade, and the list could go on and on. However, even though the list of Hollywood power couples seemed to belong, the list of celebrity couples who eventually fell apart was just as long, if not longer. According to the American Psychological Association, about 40 to 50 percent of married couples in the United States eventually got divorced, and the divorce rate for subsequent marriages was higher. It was no secret that the love stories of most Hollywood couples included numerous whirlwind romances, which would surely include breakups, separations, and divorces. Only a few real-life Hollywood love stories met their happily ever after. We decided to list some of the celebrity duos who were once married but were not able to keep their marriage together. Maybe some of us would remember the first husband of Angelina Jolie, Jonny Lee Miller. There was also Jennifer Garner’s onscreen romance-turned Marriage to Scott Folley. From mismatches to shocking weddings, we would present to you some celebrities who married at an early age.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito

Last 2006, Bradley Cooper was well-known mainly because of Alias and was the douchebag fiancé of Rachel McAdams in Wedding Crashers. He was still sober because The Hangover only happened after several years passed. Both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Esposito starred on television shows that ended in that year after one season. The one Bradley Cooper starred in was Fox’s Kitchen Confidential, and it was based on Anthony Bourdain’s best-selling book. As for Jennifer, she starred in the W.B. drama Related. In the case of Bradley and Jennifer, the timing was everything because they had some time and space in between projects for them to know more about each other and to get invested in the relationship. The two of them were engaged in October 2006 and decided to get married on December 21, 2006, in the south of France. However, Jennifer Esposito filed for their divorce on May 1, 2007. The reason was irreconcilable differences. It was reported that the decision was mutual and that they had already been separated for quite a while. Funnily enough, though, the two of them had only been married for about four months. Their divorce was finalized in November 2007. In an interview with The Howard Stern Show last 2011, Bradley mentioned, “It was just something that happened. The good thing is, we both realized it…Sometimes you just realize it. It just wasn’t right. It’s interesting…things happen!” As for Jennifer Esposito, she said that he had a “mean, cold side, and a personality that could flip on a dime. The relationship was about him and what he needed, and nothing else. I was a non-issue. I became sidelined from my life, my needs, my health. I became unfortunate, and I felt very alone, but I stayed in the relationship.” Also, she even started to cook and continuously bake “to please my unpleasable boyfriend.” She remembered attending an inspiring lecture and meditation at Agape. She heard about the motivational talk when she watched Oprah, and after her attendance, this inspired her to stop trying to fix their relationship. In just one week, everything was over between the two of them.

Emmy Rossum and Justin Siegel

Emmy Rossum made an official announcement that she had secretly gotten married to Justine Siegel, her music producer boyfriend, in February 2008. And while they knew how to keep their marriage a secret, her divorce was now on the public record. The two could no longer keep their relationship status confidential when Justin Siegel filed for divorce in September 2009. The star of The Phantom of the Opera had been back on the market after the divorce was recorded in Los Angeles Superior Court and finalized her settlement with Justin Siegel for a meager $57,000. According to the divorce judgment that was procured by E! News, Emmy Rossum would keep the house they had in Beverly Hills, her jewelry, and other personal paraphernalia. As for Justine Siegel, he would be able to keep the security deposit of $11,000 on a residence in Coldwater Canyon. Justin would also have the Mercedes, some clothing, jewelry, and the furniture that was already in his possession. Justin Siegel lost the bid for spousal support, but the good news remained that he did not have to pay the actress any, either. Emmy Rossum decided just to hand over $57,000 to make things even and finally put everything behind. After the two of them met a year ago, Emmy and Justin secretly swapped their vows on February 17, 2008. However, the two of them spent the next year and six months faking that they were just boyfriend-girlfriend. For their divorce, they cited that it was due to irreconcilable differences. It was speculated that those irreconcilable differences might have something to do with Emmy Rossum’s romance with Adam Duritz. He was the frontman of Counting Crows and was a man who was twice her age. People.com reported that Adam and Emmy were seen in a New York City restaurant and that according to their unnamed source, the two were “sitting side by side, kissing throughout dinner.” In one issue of InStyle Hair, Emmy Rossum said, “Everyone messes up in relationships and has peaks and valleys in their personal lives. When I realized it wasn’t the end of the world, and I would keep on standing, I knew it was going to be okay.”

James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow

James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow were married from 1989 to 1991, and they had a friendly relationship to the point that they continued to share their work. In 1989, James Cameron directed The Terminator. It was a low-budget, high-earning sci-fi thriller, and the space-horror sequel Aliens. On the other hand, Kathryn Bigelow was a toiler in B-pictures like The Loveless and Near Dark. She decided to work on Blue Steel in December 1989. It was a cop drama that starred Jamie Lee Curtis. The Marriage between James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow ended after two years. However, the two of them remained in their relationship as a mentor and ally. It was stipulated in their divorce agreement that James Cameron would produce three of her films. The first one was Point Break, and it was a crime thriller about surfers who robbed banks while wearing the masks of United States presidents. The Next was Strange Days. It was produced and co-written by James Cameron. The plot revolved around a sleazy vendor of playback clips. The third and the last was The Widowmaker from 2002, and it starred a stolid submarine actioner with Harrison Ford. Then suddenly, The Hurt Locker came. It was a film that almost missed the Golden Lion in Venice last 2008. Kathryn Bigelow won at the Directors Guild of America Awards. It took place at Britain’s Baftas, and both she and James Cameron were both presents. Avatar lost in the fight with The Hurt Locker. The film was honored both in Best Picture and Best Director. What was unique about The Hurt Locker was that it tested the audience’s moral compass. In an interview, Kathryn said, “I don’t like violence. I am very interested, however, in the truth. And violence is a fact of our lives, a part of the social context in which we live.” James Cameron complimented his former wife in his acceptance speech for best director at the Golden Globes. He said, “Frankly, I thought Kathryn was going to get this. And she richly deserves it.” It was reported that James Cameron showed an early cut of Avatar to Kathryn, and Kathryn did the same with The Hurt Locker. So even though they had divorced in 1991, they decided to continue with their professional collaborations. Kathryn Bigelow told the Sunday Times, “There is always a price for doing what you want. And I guess that price was my Marriage.”

Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner

Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner first met in 1998. Jennifer was the guest star on Felicity, and she played the role of the long-distance girlfriend of Noel (Foley), one of the series’ main characters. It was then that the two met. The two of them got married in October 2000. Alias was premiered on ABC in the subsequent year, and Jennifer Garner soon became a household name. During the early years of Felicity, the two of them were just humble stars, and everything was very romantic and exciting. However, all good things soon ended. Scott Foley and Jennifer Garner had announced their separation in April 2003. Their divorce was peaceful and amicable. Jennifer said that she and Scott “really were the victims of Hollywood. Everything is speeded up here — it is a fast-lane life, and if something is not working, it is considered best to end it without much thought. If we lived where I was brought up, we would probably still be together.” After they went their separate ways, Jennifer started to date, Michael Vartan. Scott Foley decided to put an end to the rumors that circulated that Jennifer had cheated on him, and he told T.V. Guide that “nobody else was involved. Jennifer became a huge celebrity. She became a huge star, and she deserved everything she got. There was no other relationship; there was no infidelity, nothing. People get divorced, you know? Through no one’s fault and everyone’s fault.” After a few years, Jennifer brought up her experience about their Marriage and said, “Everyone reaches maturity at different times. I wish I’d known to wait for marriage until I was 30 or over. I did marry in my twenties, and I found divorce a crushing experience. I thought the divorce statistics would never apply to me. I was beyond heartbroken when they did.” She was also interviewed in Allure, where she said, “Oh, [Scott’s] a great guy. We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back, I’m aware we did not know what hit us. We didn’t have a shot. He’s a perfect guy, and we just imploded.”

Drew Barrymore and Tom Green

The first husband of Drew Barrymore was Tom Green. He was a Canadian actor, comedian, director, media personality, producer, rapper, talk show host, and writer. He was undoubtedly the type of man every mom would want to have daughters to marry. However, the Marriage between the duo only lasted for five months. Drew Barrymore and Tom Green were in Charlie’s Angels together, and that was when they hit it off. Drew stayed with her husband during his battle with testicular cancer. Tom decided to propose to Drew on July 8, 2000. Tom Green proposed to Drew Barrymore in Cabo, San Lucas. The two of them loved teasing the public about their wedding date and even went as far as to stage a Saturday Night Live stunt. It was unfortunate that they preferred the idea of Marriage instead of the actual Marriage itself. They were engaged for almost a year, and this was longer than their Marriage. They had gotten married in July 2001. However, they filed for divorce only after five months. They managed to maintain an amicable relationship even after they separated ways. The reason that they had cited for their separation was irreconcilable differences. It was speculated that the irreconcilable differences pertained to the violent arguments that the two of them had, and even marriage counseling could not save their Marriage. According to someone close to the duo, “Their relationship was so violent they were in marriage counseling within three months of the wedding — with Drew complaining Tom shoved her in a fight.” Tom described his Marriage as a “sort of crazy, whirlwind of a time.” Drew Barrymore was used to living a fast-paced life, and her Marriage with Tom Green for five months was not even the shortest Marriage she ever had. She had gotten married to Jeremy Thomas, a bartender, even though they had only dated for six weeks. And as coincidence called it, that was as long as how their marriage lasted.

Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett

The Marriage between Lyle Lovett, a country singer, and Julia Roberts, a well-known actress, was best described as short but intense. The two of them decided to get married only after three weeks since they started to date. Julia Roberts and Lyle Lovett first met on the set of the 1992 film of Robert Altman that was titled The Player. During that time, Julia Roberts was only 25 years old, and even though she was young, she already had a series of short-lived romances. As for Lyle Lovett, he was already 35 and was never married. The two of them decided to get married on June 27, 1993. They shared their vows in Marion, Indiana. The couple had gotten married during a weekend off from shooting the film The Pelican Brief. The two of them managed to be with each other for two days before she returned to the set so that she could continue filming. As for Lyle, he was also busy touring. In all honesty, the pair did not have much time for each other in the duration of the 21 months that they had been married. It was evident that even from the start, their Marriage was already doomed to fail. Julia Roberts had back to back movies while Lyle Lovett had multiple tours. It was when their Marriage started to hit a rough patch. Lyle Lovett told the People magazine that they had never spent more than seven days with each other. Finally, the two of them decided to file for a divorce in March 1995. Despite the split, they were able to continue being friends. Both of them had a lot of respect for each other and would always have something special. Julia Roberts said in an interview, “Some people think of togetherness in terms of physicality. I think that when you have great love and you’re secure in that, it doesn’t matter how far apart you are.” What she had said back then was sweet, but in the real world, it would be more practical to be able to have some quality time together with the partner. Thankfully, the two of them were able to meet their happy ever after. Julia Roberts got married to Danny Moder on July 4, 2002. The two of them had three children together. Meanwhile, Lyle Lovett was married to April Kimble last February 4, 2017.

Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker

Diandra Luker and Michae Douglas first met when Diandra Luker attended Georgetown University and landed a job as a White House intern. Michael Douglas was in the area because he was promoting the film One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The two of them had a conversation and were together for two days. The proposal for Marriage happened two weeks after. The duo decided to get married in March 1977 and had a son, Cameron Douglas, a year later. Michael and Diandra lived in Los Angeles, but they eventually moved to New York City. The career of Michael as an actor started to take off, and Diandra believed that L.A.’s environmentL.A. was not ideal for raising their son. Diandra used her fame to organize charity works for the Red Cross. She also produced documentaries for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Office of Film and Television. She also worked as a model, and some of the designers she worked for were Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Donna Karan, and Oscar de la Renta. As for Michael, he made an appearance in Fatal Attraction, Romancing the Stone, The War of the Roses, and Wall Street. However, the two of them were not able to avoid some ruptures in their Marriage. Soon, everything came crashing down. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Diandra Luker said, “For years, I’ve never said a word to anyone. I don’t feel that two wrongs make a right. I’m not into mudslinging, and I refuse to lower myself even to tell you the tip of the iceberg.” As for Michael Douglas, he was interviewed by Metro, where he said, “I know I’m going to get into trouble here. I have nothing against her, and in fact, I’m very fond of my first wife. But we should have ended that marriage eight or ten years earlier. It took me too long to realize that if you go to a marriage counselor to resolve problems, it’s in his interest to keep the marriage going. Because if I end the marriage, he’s got no business. I think Diandra would probably say the same thing. That’s the only clear regret that I have.” Michael Douglas and Diandra Luker were separated in 1995, but their divorce was only finalized after five years. Diandra Luker was able to get a settlement of $45 million and some properties and alimony.

Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers

Tom Cruise first met Mimi Rogers at a dinner party while he was filming Top Gun last 1985. Mimi was dating one of his friends, but the two of them ended updating. The two of them decided to get married on May 9, 1987. Their ceremony took place in upstate New York. The best man of Tom Cruise was Emilio Estevez. Mary Lee South, the mother of Tom Cruise, told the People magazine that her new daughter-in-law was “top-notch.” Mimi Rogers was previously married to Jim Rogers, a Scientology counselor. It was reported that this was the reason Tom Cruise turned on to religion. Wensley Clarkson, the author of Tom Cruise Unauthorized, told Entertainment Weekly last 2000 that “She took him under her wing.” However, the two of them soon announced that they were going to divorce in January 1990. Mimi Rogers said in an interview with Playboy last 1993, “Is that the story that I was bored with that child and threw him over chewed him up and spat him out? Well, here’s the real story. Tom was seriously thinking of becoming a monk. At least for that period, it looked as though marriage wouldn’t fit into his overall spiritual need. And he thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument. My instrument needed tuning.” And yet, there were still other rumors about why their marriage had ended. Some speculated that it was because he had already risen too far as an actor. Some said that it might be because of the age gap of six years between the two of them. Mimi responded to these rumors in her interview with U.K. Telegraph last 2001. “The stardom wasn’t a problem. What did annoy me, though, was the age thing. Some of the tabloids brought it up all the time and exaggerated the gap between Tom and me. Every six months, they seemed to add a year to my age. If Tom and I were still married, the tabloids would probably have me in my sixties by now.”

Mario Lopez and Ali Landry

Mario Lopez attracted the hearts of teenage girls all over the world when he played the part of A.C. Slater in Saved by The Bell, a well-known ’90s sitcom. Mario Lopez and Ali Landry, a former Miss USA, had been dating for almost six years. The two of them first met in the 1998 Miss Teen USA Pageant. The two of them had gotten married in April 2004 and separated only after two weeks. The two of them had their ceremony at a Mexican wedding, and they had 50 guests. Ali Landry had some doubts before she was about to get married. However, Ali was hesitant not to proceed with it because most of their guests already made preparations to attend the ceremony. Most of them flew from various parts of the globe. However, just two weeks later, she discovered that her suspicions were correct. In an interview with Wendy Williams, she admitted that she tapped his phone because of her doubts. She said, “I had heard something right before the wedding. He swore that it was not true, but I had that feeling in my gut. One of my girlfriends said, ‘If you want to know, I know how to tap a phone.’ The craziest thing. I thought, ‘I don’t want to tap his phone. This is the man I’ve been with, I should trust him.'” She did not think twice about walking out of their Marriage. An anonymous source for People magazine said, “He’s cheated on her for several years, and she just found out last week.” Mario Lopez was a playboy, and when he decided to marry Ali, he was not yet ready to stay committed. He was not in love with her. He was attracted to a young lady during his bachelor party. When he left the party, he realized that he was not in love with Ali Landry. He said, “I got inebriated and a little too friendly with a young lady. When it was time to return home, lightning hit me with the truth: I wasn’t in love. But I walked down the aisle.”

Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere

Cindy Crawford and Richard Gere first met at a barbecue that was hosted at the residence of Herb Ritts in 1988. Cindy was awestruck by the crowd, especially Richard Gere. Four years after this fortuitous meeting, the two decided to marry in Las Vegas, where they exchanged aluminum foil rings at the altar. The arrival of the duo at the 1991 Academy Awards went down in fashion history. Cindy wore a red Versace gown, and it was so influential that it had its own Wikipedia page. As for the breakup, numerous factors led to their divorce in 1995. It was speculated that both were gay and that their Marriage was just to fool the public. However, Cindy denied the rumors by saying, “Considering the number of women he’s associated with, when does he have time to be gay?” After a few years, Cindy confessed that the two of them did not spend much quality time with each other. Another factor was the age gap of 17 years between them. In her interview with Oprah last 2013, Cindy said, “I was still 22 and at 22 — as a young woman — I was kind of still figuring out who I was and what I wanted to be, and he was already 37. I just think your twenties for women is such a time when you’re starting to come into your own and feel your power and connect to your inner strength and it’s hard to do that — it’s hard to change — in a relationship, because what one person might have signed up for, all of a sudden, you’re not that anymore. I think I was more willing at 22 to be, like, ‘Okay, I’ll follow,’ but then you start going, ‘Well, I don’t want just to follow — I want to lead sometimes, and I want to walk side-by-side sometimes.’ I think part of the problem in our relationship was that we were a lot of other things, but I don’t know if we were ever friends — like peers, because I was young, and he was Richard Gere. And then, as I started kind of growing up and growing into myself — it’s hard to change the nature of a relationship once you’re already in it.”

Madonna and Sean Penn

Madonna rose to stardom because of her numerous hits like Borderline, Like a Virgin, and Material Girl. She also made an appearance in the film Desperately Seeking Susan and even in Speed-the-Plow, a David Mamet’s Broadway play. Sean Penn starred in multiple films like Colors, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and The Falcon and the Snowman. The two of them decided to get married in August 1985. The ceremony took place in Malibu, California, and it was an ocean-bluff ceremony. Photographers in helicopters buzzed it. Judge John Merrick was the one who performed their Marriage in August 1985. He said, “I felt they were serious about their vows. I remember a line from the ceremony: ‘Although there will be times that your moods may falter, and you’ll question each other’s motives, the faith and love that you share will help to show that your inconsistency is only for the moment.'” Madonna decided to file for divorce so that she could end her unstable Marriage with the actor Sean Penn. On January 5, 1989, Madonna filed for divorce and cited the reason as irreconcilable differences. Bob Merlis of Warner Brothers did not say when the two of them had filed the divorce, but he speculated that the divorce papers had been submitted in Los Angeles. The spokesman for Sean Penn, named John West, said, “It is true. Sean and Madonna are separated. They plan to divorce, and it’s amicable.” After the announcement about their divorce, there were some reports of a well-publicized fight that involved Sean Penn, and one of these included a 60-day prison term. The spokesperson of Madonna, Liz Rosenberg, said, “The Marriage is over. I can only tell you that there will be no further comment from either Mr Penn or Madonna on this subject.” Lois Smith, Sean Penn’s publicist, also said, “The two of them have called off the marriage.” As for the reasons for their separation, it was rumored that Sean Penn was violent to Madonna. Madonna filed assault charges against Seann Penn on December 28, 1988. However, she withdrew the assault charges against Sean. Madonna made a statement on December 17, 2015, related to the speculations where she said, “I am aware of the allegations that have surfaced over the years accusing Sean of incidents of physical assault and abuse against me, which purportedly resulted in Sean’s arrest for domestic assault and battery against me. Sean has never struck me, ‘tied me up,’ or physically assaulted me, and any report to the contrary is completely outrageous, malicious, reckless, and false.”

Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson

Robert James Richie, more commonly known as Kid Rock, loved entertaining people and had been in the industry for three decades. He was known for being outspoken and even caused a controversy when he used Confederate flags. He said that he “never flew the flag with hate in my heart.” Pamela Anderson started to gain fame at a B.C. Lions Football game, and it was her stepping stone to become an actress, animal rights activist, model, and writer. She was well-known for her provocative modeling photos, and her appearances on television shows like Baywatch, Home Improvement, and V.I.P. Pamela Anderson had been a household name and lived a life full of drama. Her personal life often made the headlines of the tabloids. The two of them first met in 2001 and were engaged in 2002. They broke up before getting married. However, they got back together and had gotten married in 2006. However, Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson split up for good and filed their divorce. It became official in February 2007. Although the two of them only had a brief time together, people could not help but talk about and marvel at their relationship. The two of them were still frequently asked about the time they were still together, even though their marriage had already ended for more than a decade. Most people did not know this, but the couple had not spoken since they separated ways. Ever since their second breakup, the two no longer remained friends. Kid Rock recalled what happened with the two of them, especially when they got back together and married. In an interview with Howard Stern, he said, “I knew the stove was hot, and I wanted to put my hand on it.” Their marriage was almost called off. Kid Rock said that there were two reasons they broke up before. The first one was that Pamela Anderson did not want to sign a prenuptial agreement. The second reason was that Kid Rock did not want to move with his son from Michigan to California. When the two got back together, they married without a prenuptial agreement and moved to the West coast.

Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney

Renée Zellweger and Kenny Chesney first met at NBC’s Concert of Hope tsunami aid telethon in January 2005. Renée planned to meet Chesney and pass a note to him during the event. However, even before she could make a move, their publicists had been talking, and the intentions of Renée were revealed. A friend of Renée was interviewed by the People magazine and said, “When the broadcast wrapped, [Chesney] went over [to Zellweger] and said, ‘I hear you are trying to pass me a note — don’t let the principal find out.” They managed to keep their relationship a secret for months. The truth was only found when Renée handed Kenny a margarita and a kiss during Kenny’s concert. They got married just over a week later in the Virgin Islands. There was a time when Renée gushed about how cute her husband was and how excited she was to meet his great family. However, Renée filed for marriage annulment four months after they had gotten married, where she cited fraud as the reason. Once everyone found out what factor she had included, the public began to assume that Kenny was gay. Renée released a statement that said, “I would personally be very grateful for your support in refraining from drawing derogatory, hurtful, sensationalized or untrue conclusions and greatly appreciate your understanding that we hope to experience this transition as privately as possible.” Kenny made a follow-up statement and said, “This is an incredibly sad time. I just hope everyone can respect the privacy that I know Renée has already asked for.” After both of them had released their respective statements, they both released a third one, which stated, “the miscommunication of the objective of their marriage at the start is the only reason for this annulment. Renée and Kenny value and respect each other and are saddened that their different objectives prevent the success of this Marriage.”

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson decided to keep their relationship secret, so we could not say for sure where and when the two first knew each other. However, we could be sure that the two of them were already dating in 2007, and after dating for a year, they made an official announcement of their engagement. They had an intimate ceremony with only a few family and friends as guests. The two of them had gotten married at a wilderness retreat outside Vancouver, B.C. There were no details leaked to the press, and they managed to keep the ceremony a secret. As for the reason they wanted privacy, Scarlett explained to Glamour, “I would never ask somebody about their Marriage if I didn’t know them. I don’t profess to know anything about Marriage that anybody else doesn’t know, or how to make it right. I don’t want to read about somebody who’s giving me relationship advice. So, I try to keep some things for myself to have a private life. Because that’s kind of all you have isn’t it? When it comes down to what separates you from the next person. You don’t go to work and talk about your Marriage. Why should I?” It was unfortunate that in 2010, Ryan and Scarlett announced that they were splitting up. There were many factors why they chose to end their Marriage. One reason could be that Scarlett was only 23 years old when they had gotten married, and she might have been still unsure of what she wanted from the Marriage. There were also some rumors that the two had occasionally fought. It was also speculated that Ryan was too competitive with how their careers were going. And last but not least, it might just be a matter of privacy. It was apparent that Scarlett desperately wanted to keep things private, while Ryan did not mind sharing so much.

Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley

The relationship between Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley was short, but it did not mean that it was a tragedy. Lisa Marie was already praising Nicolas Cage shortly after their divorce and even referred to him as a friend. Nicolas and Lisa Marie had been together from 2000 to 2002. Lisa Marie Presley was engaged to John Oszajca in 2000. However, she broke up with the Hawaiian-born musician after she met Nicolas Cage at a party. Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley had been married for three and a half months before they filed for divorce. The two of them had gotten married on August 10, 2002. And yet, Nicolas Cage filed for divorce on November 25, 2002. The divorce was finalized in May 2004. The legal papers stated that the two of them “amicably resolved” their split. It was further revealed that Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley would not have any spousal support. Both of them would be able to keep all the assets that they had brought into Marriage. In an interview with Lisa Marie Presley last 2003 on CNN’s Larry King Live, she confirmed that they were still friends. And when asked what brought the pair together, she answered, “It looked attractive like I could be equal. Similar situations, similar backgrounds. So, we connected, we had a great connection. We were both a bit – we’re sort of these gypsy spirited, you know, brutal pirates. And one pirate marries another they will sink the ship is what it comes down to.”

Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes

Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes married after less than two years of dating in the presence of three of their friends. It was in May 2003 at the Caribbean Island of Anguilla. Kate Winslet was already pregnant with their son, Joe, who was born in December of that year. Kate Winslet confessed, “We hadn’t been planning to do it. But we thought it was rather a good idea, so we just did it.” The two shared the same opinion that it was essential to raise their kids by letting them have a normal childhood. In Kate Winslet’s interview with The Guardian, she revealed, “As a family, we do normal things that other families would. It’s important to us that the children are just regular kids, so we go to the park, kick a ball around, go to a museum, watch a movie together or just hang out at home playing Monopoly.” And yet, it was not enough to glue their Marriage together. Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes made an official announcement of their split last 2010. Keith Schilling, the legal counsel of the couple, made a statement that said, “Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.” It was fortunate that the two of them were committed to co-parenting Joe, and yet, it was still sad that there were circumstances that made them end their Marriage.
