It was also included in the commandments of God. They believed that Jesus’ greatness can’t be contained in an image that is why no depiction of Jesus was ever made during that era. However, in the latter days after Jesus’ time, he became a famous man. He was widely known by many. Having no depiction of Jesus was a challenge for the painters but it did not become a problem as they created an image of Jesus in their own ideas. They made HIm somewhat similar to the Roman Gods.
