Emotional turmoil
Alone for a moment, Melissa was overcome by a flood of memories of her relationship with Steve: the happy times, the disappointments and, most of all, the betrayal. A mixture of sadness, anger and apprehension engulfed her as she wondered if she would really be able to do it.
