Especially the leading ladies of NCIS, and why is that? We want to honor a performance that places females front and center, in powerful positions that others will look up to and respect. And we continue with the one and only, the quirky forensic scientist, Abby Sciuto. Come on, boys. There is no easier way to kick off this list. Apart from performing, the 48-year-old is also a published novelist, musician, and prominent civil rights supporter. Unfortunately, we’ll have to say farewell to our Caf-Pow chugging Abby as she’s scheduled to quit the program at the end of season 15. However, when it comes to Abby, well, here’s what Perrette had to suggest, “[I] wouldn’t call herself anything but Abby…What she represents is a smart, capable chick that cannot be reduced to a stereotype.” Preach, kid, preach.

Jennifer Esposito as Alexandra Quinn
Jennifer Esposito, a 44-year-old actress, and novelist is famed for her Crash roles, Summer of Sam, Don’t Say a Thing, and Welcome to Collinwood. Ok, so her TV works out there, Spin City, Samantha Who? Mistresses, Blue Bloods, and, clearly, NCIS. Fans were eager to watch Alex Quinn’s job with her smart humor, swift mind, and big talent – but Esposito just stuck around for one season.
