For 10 Years This Man Ordered Pizza Every Day When Employees Suddenly Realize Something Is Not Right
First Choice
48-Year old Kirk Alexander lives in Salem, Oregon. He is a huge pizza lover. In fact, he has been ordering DOmino’s Pizza every single day for approximately a decade. However, one day the chain did not receive an order from ALexander. The employees knew something was up but what actually happened will leave you in awe!
Loved By Everyone
Everyone all over the world can relate to loving the cheesiness that is pizza. We know the food and love it too. In fact, did you know that the US really adores pizza? Around 3 billion pizzas are sold annually! Sounds like a lot of pizza to us.

A Regular
The general manager of the local branch, Sarah Fuller, said, “he orders every day, every other day.“His order pops up on the screen because he orders online. So we see it come across the screen and we’re like, ‘Oh, Kirk’s order.’”

A Regular
Forming Connection
It was 2009 when Sarah Fuller first met Alexander. This was at the time she had started working at Dominos as a delivery driver. She got to know Kirk and learned that he had worked from home. He rarely ever left his home. On top of that, he had a history of health problems.

Forming Connection
The Man
Kirk was a rather quiet man. He went about his business, doing his own thing. Some would have said he’s more of an introvert. However, the Dominos employees were quite fond of him and appreciated his loyalty. His neighbors, on the other hand, had more to say.

The Man
Neighbors
When talking to a few of his neighbors, Rober Lalonde said, “I knock on the door every once in a while but sometimes he answers.” Robert lives across the road and continued, “Very seldom does he ever answer the door.”

Neighbors
Mixed Reviews
While it was his experience with one neighbor, others had very different opinions. It’s a shame that Alexander didn’t make more of an effort. Soon you’ll understand why it’s crucial to maintain relationships in life.

Mixed Reviews
Good Guy
Another neighbor Ben Theodoriches said, “He’s a pretty good guy – kind of stayed away from everybody. He’s come over a couple of times and helped us fix computers and, you know, he’s just good at that.”

Good Guy
Very Familiar
With regards to knowing Alexander, Sarah said, “Our delivery drivers he knows really well, because obviously he has conversations with them at the door.” Well, he did order almost every day for 10 years.

Very Familiar
11 Days With No Order
For a few days, the employees had noticed that Alexander had not ordered, they had a bad feeling about it. First, they thought about th possibility he had been on a trip or vacation of somesort. Potentially for work or even visiting family.

11 Days With No Order
Continuing Like Normal
All they were able to do was go back to their regular lives and act like nothing really happened. They were sure that Kirk would order again soon enough. Unfortunately, that day never came. The team started getting worried.

Continuing Like Normal
A Friend To The Employees
As a few days passed, Fuller was eventually stopped by the delivery drivers, they too noticed that Alexander had not ordered in a seemingly long time for him. Fuller decided to check the system and it came to her attention that it had now been 11 days since his previous order.

A Friend To The Employees
The System
She decided to take a look at the system. She then saw that it had been 11 days with no orders now. This was very unusual and she felt very uneasy by the idea. She had to find out if everything was okay with the loyal customer.

The System
Out Of Character
Alexander had never gone 11 days without ordering. Initially, they felt like they were probably overreacting. However, at one point, they couldn’t ignore it any longer. It was very odd for Kirk to stop ordering. Something serious was going on.

Out Of Character
Enjoyed Each Item
Fuller knew something was wrong. Alexander had been a loyal customer for years, the staff knew him as a kind, gentle and friendly man- they were all well acquainted. “He orders all the time, so we know him,” said Fuller.

Enjoyed Each Item
A Drive-By
Some of the employees knew him so well he was somewhat family to them. The staff knew that his vacations were never this long. Was there a chance he had changed to a different pizza spot, had his tatsebuds outgrown Domino’s?

A Drive-By
Trying To Understand
The Dominos staff had gotten to know Alexander more and more over the years. The delivery people were happy to deliver him every day. They began wondering if he had simply started ordering from somewhere else. They couldn’t help but feel bad about the possibility.

Trying To Understand
Unanswered
“Kirk is a very well-known customer, but he doesn’t have a regular order – he’ll order anything from pasta or pizza to sandwiches or wings. It’s never the same thing every time.” Well, he clearly loved the chain restaurant and enjoyed a variety of their foods.

Always Surprising Him
Alexander wasn’t the type to only order a cheese pizza. It only makes sense seeing as he ordered every single day. Why would he buy the exact same dish every time? Instead, he would try each item on the menu. Even when new dishes were made, he was the first to try them.

Always Surprising Him
Reaching Out To 911
The staff became more and more worried that there was another reason behind the sudden disappearance, they had a salty taste on their tongues. Eventually, Fuller made the decision to send a driver to check up on their loyal customer.

Reaching Out To 911
Calling For Help
One of the delivery drivers, Tracey Hamblen was asked to check up on Kirk Alexander. As Tracey approached the front door he saw that the lights inside the house were on. He moved closer and closer and managed to hear sounds from the television.

Calling For Help
Checking Things Out
It was then that Fuller decided it was high time to do something. On May 8th, it was a rather slow night. When 1 a.m. came around, Sarah sent the delivery man on duty, Tracy Hamblen, to go over to Alexander’s home.

Checking Things Out
Overwhelmed
Tracy arrived at Kirk’s home, unprepared for what he was about to see. He was sent to check in on him and he had hoped to come back to the pizza shop with happy news. He stepped out of his car and walked towards the front door.

Overwhelmed
His Findings
When he saw that the lights inside the house were on, he started getting excited since Alexander must have been there. Then, he asked himself this: if Kirk was inside with the lights on, he’s home. Then why hasn’t he ordered?

His Findings
A Knock
He then knocked on the door and waited quietly for a response. It was clear that someone had to be inside. All the signs were there. And so, he knocked a second time. He was sure that Alexander would answer.

A Knock
Ignoring Him
Tracy kept knocking on the door several times but heard absolutely no response. He took his phone out of his pocket and started to dial Alexander’s number. When he called, there was no answer. This was when he started getting nervous.

Ignoring Him
No Answer
“He wasn’t answering his door but there were lights on,” said Fuller, “and you could hear the TV playing,” she told Good Morning America. They called him time after time but each time it went to voicemail, they decided to take action.

No Answer
Making The Decision
Fuller said, “He came back to the store and that’s when we went ahead and decided to place the 911 call.” The staff were all on edge, “Kind of scared, worried,” Fuller said. “What happened? What was going on?”

Making The Decision
Lucky Charm
Tracey knocked on the door of the house and there was simply no answer. He knocked again and still no answer. He called Alexander and he reached voicemail instantly. He felt something was wrong, he knew it was in his gut. he returned to the restaurant to discuss it with his fellow employees.

Lucky Charm
The Call
When he got back to the restaurant, his coworkers agreed that they should call 911. They all decided it was time to listen to their gut feelings. They agreed that it was much better to be safe than sorry.
Sigh Of Relief
He thought someone would know what to do or be in agreement with him regarding the course of action. Hamblen discussed the situation and they all agreed that 911 needed to be called. He began, “Well, I need some help on what to do, it could be an emergency.”

Sigh Of Relief
A Humbling Experience
“This is Domino’s Pizza and we have a customer that usually orders like every night from us. And he hasn’t ordered in 11 days.” The operator on the other end took down all the details and got in touch with the Marion County Sheriff’s Department.

A Humbling Experience
Explaining The Situation
Hamblen explained to the 911 operator that Kirk had not placed an order for 11 days and this was unusual behavior going off of the past 10 years he had been ordering. He further explained how he visited his home.

Explaining The Situation
A Bit Bizarre
It must have been pretty surprising for the 911 operator to hear their story. It’s rather peculiar that a man’s disappearance would be noticed by his favorite Dominos branch. In any case, they were suspicious about the story.
Legendary Story
The sheriff dispatched officers to Kirk’s home, they had no idea what they were going to come across. The police arrived at his home and approached the front door, they knocked over and over and continued for a few minutes.

Legendary Story
Hearing
Sarah explained, “I guess they could hear him inside, yelling for help. So they broke down the door and the paramedics got in and got him down to the hospital.” Kirk’s history showed that he has a past of minor strokes.

Hearing
Super Supportive
Surprisingly, they received a response! It was a sound they were all too familiar with- the sound of someone calling for help. They broke down the door and rushed in to see Kirk laying helplessly on the ground. They radioed for an ambulance to take him to a hospital as soon as possible.

Super Supportive
Help Is On The Way
They called in for an ambulance. It arrived as quickly as possible in order to assess Alexander. When they got there, the paramedics did their best. They were able to transport Alexander to a nearby hospital.

Help Is On The Way
Found At Last
The officers when breaking down the door could tell that Alexander was “in need of immediate medical attention.” If they had arrived even moments later ther is a large possibility that Kirk would not have made it.

Found At Last
Astounding Reward
They could tell on the scene that there was a major possibility of a stroke, the paramedics were able to stabilize him. The uncertainty lay behind the fact there were no witnesses- no one knew exactly how long he had been down for.

Astounding Reward
Lucky
They found him just in the nick of time, the doctors and paramedics were able to save his life. He was going to make a full recovery. The Domino’s staff were over the moon when they heard the good news, We’re like a family here, and we were glad we were able to do something to help. We hope he’s able to fully recover from this,” said Fuller.

Lucky
All Together
“We’re like a family here, and we were glad we were able to do something to help. We hope he’s able to fully recover from this,” said Fuller. All the employees were so relieved that they had followed their instincts.
Help Recover
“We want to give him flowers, cards,” assistant manager Seiber said, “hopefully help him recover faster knowing that people do care about him.” It is truly admirable to see just how unified people can be in times of crisis and how willing to help they are.

Help Recover
First Day
“The first day we saw him he was a little out of it, just yes and no questions, and then I went back on Monday and he was doing a lot better,” Seiber exclaimed. “We saw him yesterday and he had been moved to the rehabilitation center at the hospital and he was saying a little bit more.”

First Day
Recovery
Seiber went on, “We saw him yesterday and he had been moved to the rehabilitation center at the hospital and he was saying a little bit more.” She truly has been by his side and showing him all the support he needed.

Recovery
Very Tired
She said, “He’s still really tired but he seems to be doing a lot better and making a recovery.” Jenny Fouracre, director of public relations at Domino’s headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, said that the employees actions were consistent with the company’s customer service expectations.

Very Tired
Proud Of The Team
She explained, “We are proud of our team members who took the initiative to reach out and help a regular customer who was in distress. There are thousands of Domino’s stores across the country, but every store is really a part of their neighborhood, delivering to people in their homes, which means we often get to know our customers well.”

Proud Of The Team
Many Stories
She went on to say, “We have many stories of how our stores have helped regular customers in ways that are big and small over the years, which is a level of customer service and commitment to our communities that we hope everyone will emulate.”

Many Stories
Doing Their Job
The employees at Domino’s remained humbled and did not see themselves as heroes in any way. Sarah Fuller said, “I think we were just doing our job checking in on someone we know who orders a lot. We felt like we needed to do something.”

Doing Their Job
Inspiring
Their humility and compassion is inspirational, they are dedicated employees that’s for sure. The media, on the other hand, took the story and ran with it. The story not only spread throughout the town but made it on national television. It was not yet over…

Inspiring
Interviews
Fuller and her assistant manager Jenny Seiber were invited to be on Good Morning America. The two were asked to recall the events as they happened in their interview. The hosts praised and congratulated the pair for following their instincts and actually taking action.

Interviews
Updates
They also had a few updates regarding Alexander’s condition. They had visited him in hospital and Seiber was able to tell host Robin Roberts that she had in fact seen him three times since the whole ordeal went down.

Updates
Out Of It
Seiber went on to explain that the first day he was “out of it” and was responsive, however, with yes or no only. Moreover, the next day he seemed much better and on the third day was transferred to the rehabilitation ward within the hospital.

Out Of It
Big Surprise
The two employees were gifted with a massive surprise as Roberts continued and announced, “Since you guys are superheroes, we’re gonna send you to Captain America: Civil War.” The entire staff was gifted with tickets but this was not all…

Big Surprise
Las Vegas
Domino’s corporate office would be sending the two lovely managers as well as Tracey Hamblen to the Domino’s Worldwide Rally. This is a yearly convention hosted in Las Vegas for Domino’s members. Surely, its the least of what these three heroes were deserving of.

Las Vegas
Appreciation
These Domino’s employees were being thoroughly praised from high and low for their efforts. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said: “Thanks to the quick actions of Mr. Hamblen, Mr. Alexander is in stable condition at the Salem Hospital.”

Appreciation
The Sheriff
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said: “Thanks to the quick actions of Mr. Hamblen, Mr. Alexander is in stable condition at the Salem Hospital.” It’s scary to think about what would have happened otherwise. It’s thanks to the fact that Kirk was loyal to Dominos that his life was saved.
Personal Thanks
“The Sheriff’s Office would like to personally thank Mr. Hamblen for his quick actions and willingness to take time out of his day to care for others.” It is so nice to see these youngsters rewarded for what they did.

Personal Thanks
Visiting Often
As time went on, the employees continued to support Alexander, they visited him regularly and ensure that he is doing well and feeling loved. These employees have truly gone above and beyond in ensuring he has a support structure.

Visiting Often
On The Mend
As of late, Kirk is recovering very well in the hospital. We have no doubt he will be back to routine and the comfort of his own home. His Domino’s order will surely pick up again and he now has a very different bond with the chain.
