Vanessa married Kobe in 2001. Their relationship started when Kobe was just starting his career as a rapper. Vanessa Laine was one of his backup dancers. Their wedding happened when Vanessa was only 18 years old, and her parents did not approve of the marriage. Vanessa and Kobe’s relationship were not smooth sailing, though, but they both were able to reconcile, leading to four daughters. The couple wanted to try more until they could bear a son, until Kobe and her daughter Gianna’s untimely death this year.
