Hurting words
Words that hurt.Every dress I wore wasn’t good enough, and my brother’s fiancee, Cassie, made sure to tell me so in the meanest way possible: “Ooff, your arms look really big in this dress,” or “This dress accentuates your belly fat.” Everything she said was a calculated insult, and it made me feel terrible. Worst of all, my brother did nothing to make her leave.
